1. Warranty periods
Subject to the terms below, C-View provides the following express warranty from the date the product is supplied:
Moving parts
1 year
For defects in moving components supplied as part of the product.
Structural integrity
6 years
For defects affecting the structural integrity of the manufactured product.
A product, component or supplier warranty stated in your quote or order documents may contain additional coverage or conditions. Those written terms apply in addition to the rights described here.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The express warranty on this page is in addition to, and does not limit, those rights.
3. What the warranty covers
The warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship arising under normal conditions of use where the product has been correctly handled, installed, operated and maintained. Moving parts may include components such as rollers, locks, handles or hinges where those components were supplied by C-View.
4. What may not be covered
To the extent permitted by law, the express warranty may not cover problems caused by:
- normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, abuse, neglect or unauthorised modification;
- incorrect installation, adjustment, handling or maintenance not performed by C-View;
- building movement, structural settlement, impact, extreme weather or events outside reasonable control;
- corrosion or deterioration caused by harsh environmental exposure or failure to follow care instructions;
- glass breakage after delivery unless caused by a covered manufacturing defect; or
- components or work supplied by another party, except to the extent C-View is responsible under applicable law.
An exclusion will not apply where doing so would exclude or restrict a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Maintenance responsibilities
Regular cleaning, lubrication and adjustment help prevent premature wear. Follow the guidance on our Product Care page and any instructions supplied with your product. Coastal and high-exposure locations may require more frequent maintenance.
6. Making a claim
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem. Please provide your name and contact details, order or invoice reference where available, the installation address, a clear description of the issue, and photographs or video that help us assess it.
Submit a claim through our contact page, select “Warranty Claim”, email sales@c-view.com.au, or call (07) 5520 1200. We may arrange an inspection or request further information before confirming the appropriate remedy.
7. Warranty remedies
If a valid express warranty claim is accepted, C-View will determine an appropriate remedy, which may include repair or replacement of the affected component or product. Any remedy remains subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to choose a remedy where the law gives you that choice.
