Meeting the Australian Standard AS5041, Invisi-Gard undergoes a dynamic impact test where security screens and doors must withstand five consecutive impacts, each of 100 Joules (J), without any breach in the interface between the aluminium frame and the mesh infill. Any breach, regardless of length, constitutes failure.

Invisi-Gard exclusively employs marine-grade 316 stainless steel mesh with a wire tensile strength of 900 MPa and a wire diameter of 0.8mm, with each strand of wire individually tested to stringent international standards. In contrast, Crimsafe uses grade 304 stainless steel, a lower grade with a wire tensile strength of 800 MPa and a wire diameter of 0.9mm.

Invisi-Gard employs a PVC wedge system to secure the mesh in the aluminium frame, applying pressure around the full perimeter of the unit. This design fully isolates stainless steel and aluminium, preventing the possibility of galvanic corrosion.

Invisi-Gard assemblies are free of visible fixings, featuring slim and attractive frames. In comparison, Crimsafe has a bulkier appearance with poorly hidden fixings under a snap-on cover.
